Delete your recordings or account
How to remove your data from RecBeam.
Deleting a single recording or screenshot
You can delete any recording or screenshot yourself from inside the RecBeam extension: open Videos or Screenshots, then choose Delete on the item. This permanently removes the stored file and stops its public sharing link from working. If you need help, email [email protected] from the address associated with your RecBeam account.
Deleting your entire account
To request deletion of your RecBeam account and all associated data — your profile information, sign-in sessions, and any uploaded recordings — email [email protected] from your account's email address with the subject line "Delete my RecBeam account." We will confirm your request and complete the deletion.
What gets deleted
- Your uploaded recordings and screenshots, removed from Cloudflare R2 storage
- Your account profile and recording records, removed from Cloudflare D1
- Your active sign-in sessions, revoked immediately
Recovery copies still held in your browser (recordings whose upload did not complete) are not affected by this process. You can retry, download, or discard those yourself from Uploads needing attention in the extension — they are not on our servers.
Response time
Deleting an individual recording or screenshot from the extension takes effect immediately. Full account-deletion requests are handled manually by our team and we aim to complete them promptly.
Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Business subscription, and cancelling a subscription does not delete your account or content. If you have an active Business subscription and want to delete your account, cancel the subscription first through Manage subscription in the extension (see our Cancellation Policy), then request account deletion as described above.
