Built for real recording sessions
Screen, window or tab
Record your full screen, one window, or a single browser tab, chosen through Chrome's native picker.
Screen and camera
Composite a camera bubble over your screen recording for a more personal explanation.
Microphone support
Narrate clearly with a one-click mute that genuinely silences the recorded audio.
Pause and resume
Stop mid-recording and pick back up without losing your take or restarting the countdown.
Entire-screen warning
A clear heads-up when recording your entire screen, since RecBeam's own floating controls may appear in that capture.
Upload recovery
A network drop never costs you the recording — it's kept locally until the upload is verified, with retry available.
Recording limits
Starter recordings run up to 5 minutes. Business raises that to 60 minutes. RecBeam warns you as you approach the limit and finishes the recording safely — it's never discarded, even at the cutoff. See our pricing for full plan details.
RecBeam records what Chrome's own screen-capture picker can see. It does not capture native desktop applications outside the browser beyond what that picker supports, and does not offer a separate native desktop application.
Frequently asked questions
Can I record just a browser tab?
Yes. Chrome's own source picker lets you choose a single tab, a specific window, or your entire screen.
Does the recorder capture audio?
Yes — your microphone, and tab or system audio where supported by Chrome.
Can I pause a recording?
Yes. Pause and resume from the floating controls; the final file has no gap where you paused.
What happens at the entire-screen option?
RecBeam shows a clear warning that its own floating controls may appear inside an entire-screen recording, since that's the one mode where your whole display — including RecBeam's own dock — is being captured.
How long can a recording be?
5 minutes on Starter, 60 minutes on Business. RecBeam warns you before the limit and finishes safely — your recording is never discarded.
