This Privacy Policy explains how Nexus Eclipse (Pvt) Ltd ("RecBeam", "we", "us") handles information when you use the RecBeam Chrome extension and the RecBeam website.

Information from Google Sign-In

When you sign in to RecBeam with Google, Google shares the following with us, and only with your permission:

We do not receive your Google password, and we do not receive access to your Gmail, Drive, or other Google services beyond this basic profile information.

Account information RecBeam stores

We store the profile information listed above, along with an internal account identifier and sign-in session records. Session tokens are stored in a hashed (irreversible) form — we do not store your raw session token or Google credentials.

Local-first recording

When you record with RecBeam, the recording is captured and saved on your own device first, using your browser's local storage. A recording is not sent anywhere unless and until you choose to upload it for sharing.

Where uploaded recordings are stored

If you upload a recording, the video file itself is stored using Cloudflare R2, a cloud object storage service. We use Cloudflare D1, a cloud database service, to store account and recording metadata — such as recording titles, durations, file sizes, ownership, and upload status. D1 does not store the video content itself.

Share links

When you upload a recording, RecBeam generates a private share link containing a long, random, unguessable identifier. This link is unlisted: it is not published, searchable, or discoverable through RecBeam. However, it is not access-controlled — anyone who obtains the exact link can view the recording. Treat share links the same way you would treat any sensitive but unencrypted link, and only send them to people you intend to have access.

Deleting recordings and your account

You can request deletion of individual recordings or your entire account and associated data. See our deletion instructions for how to do this. Deleted recordings are removed from Cloudflare R2, and associated records in Cloudflare D1 are deleted or marked as removed.

We do not sell your information

RecBeam does not sell your personal information to third parties, and does not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use compliance

RecBeam's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Cookies and tracking

The RecBeam website does not currently use analytics, tracking pixels, or non-essential cookies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as RecBeam develops. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date once this policy is finalized and published.
